Alex Claussen LPCC

Alex is a young clinician with a passion for helping others find positivity and gratitude in their lives. Alex graduated from Bowling Green State University with a bachelor’s in psychology and a master’s in clinical counseling. Alex started his career in the field of substance abuse counseling and is excited to continue helping others who struggle with this problem. Alex places emphasis on creating a safe and non-judgmental environment for his clients while diving into the many obstacles that life can present.

Alex has worked in community mental health with clients who struggle with substance use disorder for four years. Additionally, Alex has spent the last two years working with older adults who struggle with anxiety and depression. Alex has experience working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia, trauma, loss, physical disabilities, relationship issues, and more.

When not in the office Alex enjoys playing volleyball, hiking, weightlifting, and rollerblading. Alex believes in the necessity of self-care by focusing on exercise and healthy eating. Alex loves spending time with his friends, family and pets.
